37 hours per week Monday-Friday, 52 weeks per year (some occasional evening and weekend work may be required)

JOB/PERSON SUMMARY:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled, hardworking and organised Site Assistant to join our Federation. The successful candidate will work under the direction and assist the Federation Site Manager to ensure that both Livingstone Road Infant School and Livingstone Road Junior School are a safe environment for our whole community.

We need you to play a vital part in the daily running by following daily, weekly and monthly routines and on-going maintenance. This is a varied and busy role, requiring a flexible and adaptable approach. You will be someone who has great pride in their work with attention to detail, is able to identify issues and problem solve and someone who works well as part of a small team.

The ideal candidate for this role will;

·         have a broad range of DIY skills, with a willingness to turn their hand to support the Federation Site Manager

·         have a flexible ‘solution focused’ approach and attitude to work

·         have good communication and organisation skills, be approachable and a team player

·         have the ability to assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and site risk assessments

·         have good computer skills

·         have an understanding of Health and Safety at work legislation

·         have a willingness to undertake further training and CPD

·         have a driving licence and willingness to complete minibus driver training

It is desirable, but not essential that the successfully candidate will;

·         have experience of working in a maintenance role, preferably in a similar environment

·         have a good working knowledge of facility management and experience of liaising with on-site contractors is desirable but not essential

Working hours will be negotiable but must be such that the hours worked support the Federation Site Manager and the operation of the Federation. A split shift pattern may be required on occasions and assistance with occasional lettings and Federation events will be required. You will be a key holder. Emergency call outs are considered part of your duties and you must have a flexible attitude.

32.5 hours per week Monday-Friday, Term Time only

This is a Permanent Position

Location – Livingstone Road Primary Federation

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to join our dedicated, friendly and hardworking team. The role involves supporting the teaching and learning of the children at our school, working in the classroom to support the whole class and providing individual academic or pastoral interventions to smaller groups of children. You must be passionate; ensuring for all children there are no barriers to their learning, to enable them all to reach their potential, to ‘Learn Laugh Dream Grow’.

We are looking for;

  • -       An excellent team player who can demonstrate creativity and support teaching & learning in the school
  • -       An individual who is committed to making a positive impact on children’s lives
  • -       Someone who can encourage children to work independently through self-scaffolding, but feel able to ‘prompt, clue, model and correct’ when necessary
